Podcasting

I find podcasting somthing I could really get into as I love educational programing and this I can do at any time I wish. I listened to the podcast of the University of Arizona libraries and this seems like a very good way for libraries to network. I also listened to some that I was very interested in subject wise. I liked the self help one on Meditating. I think Sno-Isle could use this as a tool for programing info. I also thoink this would be a very good way to pass another form of gaining info for customers. What a treasure trove.

I think this would be good if you were having a Familreunion or wedding or somekind of advertisement. This

would be a very handy way to promote library

programs, especially childrens. For me it would take som

training.

I have downloaded before a couple years ago but this was to read on my PC. I have not tried the audio download but I don’t think I have the time or the desire to sit at a computer. I would like to somday download to a MP3 player, but right now I like my car cd player and the “book” to get my reading done. I will be glad when there are more titles 8>}

Well this truly is great for keeping track of your websites and then putting them in some kind of order. Whereas google or yahoo you can not easily put in some sort of order. The best is being able to access all your favorites from anyplace you may be. Goggle etc. is good but you can’t always access them from a person’s multiple computer stations.

This is what we say in my family when it’s time to

clean the ears. I suppose this is interesting to me as a way to

get things organized with out 200 emails if you have a lot of people involved in planning something. This is especially good for library organizations because not all people working together are in the same building. Or for conventions the people are not from the same state. National reading lists formed for readers of all levels can be comprised by many people globally. For me I would use the telephone as I am not invilved this way in my life (yet?)

Too much TV?

Well I do believe that I would use whichever

website for watching episodes of favorite TV

episodes that I have missed. Or shows that I

don’t get because I don’t subscribe to good cable

just the general one. This would be good to reccoment to a patron

who just must have a particular TV show. YouTube is good for posting videos to let people know what their local and national libraries are up to. But for me in general I can barely keep up with my 2 TV shows and the DVD’s I already bring home from the library. This is just too much time spent in front of a screen of some sort or the other.

I really find the concept of Facebook interesting

I never thought I would see so many people that

the site has hooked up with my account. I like

that feature that it does that for you. But it does

seem too time consuming for someone like me to

get it all set up, and then take the time to view it.

I believe this is a new way of networking and

could be used for businesses especially. or

maybe hobbys or passions of interest to find

like minds

I find this a really nice way to hear my kind of music. I had no idea that we have these types of internet websites. I love music but hate the radio. I don’t like the commercials and the loud obnoxious DJs yelling at me 2 octaves louder. This for music lovers is a dream. sigh…

I think that this could be very handy if you have many interests and don’t want to constantly be entering a web address. I think this also would be a fun way to keep abreast of all that is… in a more streamlined process. I am eager to follow this for a few weeks to see how it could really benefit me or someone with a busy schedule.
